Meeting History

Sep 18, 2017 4:30 PM  Health and Human Services Committee Regular Meeting

Ms. Holmes explained the definition of "aging by design" as the use of older adults and caregivers from the ground up in the design of programs versus designing the programs and fitting the participants into them. She stated staff is being trained on improving existing services and developing new services. The funding is for 2017 and 2018 for a six-month planning cycle in stage one and there is stage two funding available for any service prototype Tompkins County has developed that they wish to submit. The service prototypes can include improvements on current services or the development of new services.
