Mr. Smith stated Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) worked with the County to obtain documentation and the County is to be reimbursed $52,867.26 for costs incurred by Storm Stella. Stella occurred in March 2017 and the State was declared a disaster and involved travel bans and closing for a two-day period.

Mr. Morey inquired about working with FEMA. Mr. Smith stated the County’s cost were well documented and stated Geri Lockwood, Highway Department, provided FEMA with the necessary documentation, but he stated some of the smaller municipalities may have had difficulties with the required documentation.
