Sep 7, 2017 3:00 PM  Planning, Development, and Environmental Quality Committee Regular Meeting

Mr. Doyle explained the need for the Tompkins County Cayuga Inlet Stormwater Infrastructure Assessment is to better understand and implement projects with the highest impact. This assessment will build on work already completed by the Tompkins County Soil and Water Conservation District and Cornell Cooperative Extension; it is also connected to the 2014 Hazard Mitigation Plan that included the recommendation of conducting watershed adaption plans.

Mr. Doyle said this request is to send out a Request-for-Quotation (RFQ) that may hire a firm to help review these systems to determine what and where the projects should be prioritized.

Committee members were in agreement to allow this RFQ to be handled at the staff level.
