Mr. Knipe explained the purpose of the resolution and said although the initial request was for two-year funding this action supports one-year funding. The major component of the request was for a shared staff person whose role is to implement and market heritage tourism programming. As the review committee had several questions, Historic Ithaca and The History Center as the applicant will be given an opportunity to respond to those questions and is expected to reapply for the funds early next year.
