Meeting History

Jan 9, 2018 3:00 PM  Facilities and Infrastructure Committee Regular Meeting

Ms. Eckstrom stated the construction project for the Recycling and Solid Waste Center went well overall. The cost of the project did not exceed the ten percent contingency.

Mr. Riley provided a brief recap of the work completed in the project including paving and repair, striping, sidewalk and stairway replacement, and replacement of damage siding, gutters, and doors. He explained that the largest expense were the push wall repairs and said the push walls are the back walls at the facility. He said the project was assessed prior to the bidding process but once the construction began it was determined the push wall was in poorer condition than previously assessed and a redesign or repair and change order were required. The cost of the push wall repairs were $25,000 but did not exceed the budgeted amount.

Ms. Eckstrom complimented Mr. Riley for the work and effort he put forth on this project.
