Mr. McCloskey provided a PowerPoint presentation entitled Ithaca Free Clinic - A Project of the Ithaca Health Alliance that included an overview of the services available through the Ithaca Free Clinic.

Mrs. McBean-Clairborne arrived at this time.

Ms. Champion inquired about the Clinic's funding source. Mr. McCloskey explained that the Clinic submits a grant application through the Human Services Coalition and have been fortunate to receive funding through them. He said that funding represents about 15% of their annual budget.

Ms. Kelles arrived at this time.

Mr. Granison inquired if changes in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) have had any effect on the number of clients at the Clinic. Mr. McCloskey stated there was a slight increase in the number of patients seeking medical attention in 2017 and 2018. He explained that in 2017 and 2018 there has been a significant decrease in the number of Spanish speaking patients including seasonal farm workers.

Mrs. McBean-Clairborne asked what the minimum age limit was for volunteers. Mr. McCloskey stated there was no age limitations and spoke of conversations that have taken place with Greater Ithaca Activities Center (GIAC) regarding an internship program being developed in conjunction with them.

Mr. McCloskey stated opioids are not prescribed through the Clinic for pain management.
