Mr. John explained the Tompkins Center for History and Culture has some office space available and its Governance Council is interested in having that space occupied. There is a process in place for that to happen under a Memorandum of Understanding. Potential tenants are interviewed by the Governance Council and make recommendations to the Legislature. The Cayuga Chamber Orchestra and Discover Cayuga Lake are the two tenants being recommended. The Governance Council is also recommending the Ithaca Festival, but that proposal is different and is being considered a Licensee. The Ithaca Festival will pay a basic fee of $500 for the year and will be used toward marketing controlled by the Governance Council.
