Approval of County Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Goal for 2020-2022 for the Federal Transit Administration

              WHEREAS, Tompkins County is a Direct Recipient of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant programs and is therefore responsible for compliance with Federal regulations by sub recipients using these funds including Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit, Inc. (TCAT), Gadabout Transportation Services, Inc. (Gadabout), and other agencies, and

 

              WHEREAS, Tompkins County worked with TCAT and Gadabout to create a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for federal fiscal years of 2020-2022, pursuant to applicable federal requirements, and

 

              WHEREAS, the 2020-2022 DBE goal is 1.37% of applicable capital and operating projects, and

 

              WHEREAS, the DBE goal may be revised in the event of competitive grant awards to the County by FTA or an increase in the number of certified DBE vendors during federal fiscal years 2020-2022, now therefore be it

 

              RESOLVED, on recommendation of the Housing and Economic Development Committee, That the Tompkins County Legislature approves a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise goal for federal fiscal years 2020-2022 of 1.37%, with an annual review by staff to determine if adjustments are needed.
